The Academy of Performing Arts, affectionately nicknamed the APA, is celebrating over 40 years as a vibrant arts institution!
Attracting over 21,000 people each year, The APA is a must visit whether you are a local or just visiting the Cape. Located in historic Orleans, this wonderful venue, that used to be the town hall, brings great theater to the Cape year 'round. The APA produces many shows, including musicals, dramas, comedies and original works each year. In addition to creative music series, benefit performances and faculty performances. Well-known theater directors, music directors, set design artists, and costume designers all come to the Playhouse to collaborate with Cape artists.
