SUMMARY:2024 Butterfly House & Pollinator Path
DESCRIPTION:The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster announces the 2024 Butterfly House & Pollinator Path season Saturday\, June 1st through Sunday\, September 1st 10:20am 2:20pm.\n\n \n\n Butterflies are among the most beautiful insects in the world. Our Butterfly House will give visitors the chance to see and experience butterflies up close and personal. Butterflies\, as well as other pollinators\, are not only fun to watch\, but they serve a critical purpose pollinating over 75% of the world's flowering plants.\n\n \n\nAs you approach the Butterfly House you will walk through the Pollinator Path filled with multi-colored blooming plants such as Orange Butterfly Weed (providing a place for butterflies to lay their eggs)\, Yarrow\, Purple Coneflower and many more varieties that attract our pollinators and provide them with nectar. Once inside\, you will be able to watch caterpillars go through the different stages of their life cycle and you may even be there when a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis to join the others in flight!\n\n \n\nThe Butterfly House Visit is $5 per person. 8 spaces available per time slot on the day of your visit. *\n\nNo pre-registration required. Check availability at The Butterfly Desk.\n\n*Groups of 5-8 people can call to register beginning June 1st.\n\n \n\nExtraordinary opportunity to FEED THE BUTTERFLIES Daily ~ 11am & 1:30pm\n\nGuests will be able to feed a butterfly by holding a small sponge brush with juice on it and watch the butterfly up close as it drinks from the sponge! What a great nature experience and photo opportunity!\n\n \n\nButterfly Feeding: RESERVATIONS for each time slot are RECOMMENDED.\n\nFEEDING TICKETS AVAILABLE ONLINE AT WWW.CCMNH.ORG\n\n$8/person for up to 8 people per 20-minute time slot.\n\n \n\nNOTE: Butterfly Visits and Butterfly Feeding are admission add-ons. You must pay admission to the Museum at the door.\n\n \n\n We are grateful to The Simon Foundation\, Crocker Nurseries\, and our volunteers and staff involved in making this possible.
