DESCRIPTION:Meet The Artist: Monday\, Sept. 19 and Saturday\, Sept. 28 from 10am to 5pm\n\n\n\nA graduate of University of Cincinnati\, College of Design\, Architecture and Art\, Sallie worked for many years as a display stylist in Cincinnati\, Ohio and London\, England and as a layout artist in New York City.  She then spent over thirty years in the marine industry\, delivering yachts up and down the East Coast\, chartering around Florida and the Bahamas and working as a parts and store manager on the Cape and in Florida.\n\n\n\nIn 2010 Sallie joined the Cape Cod Art Association with the intention of returning to her artwork.  By chance she happened to sign up for a class with Odin Smith in pastel and acrylic. Now Sallie works exclusively in acrylic\, finding it the most versatile medium she has ever experienced.  Exploring the possibilities of the medium have lead her to many awards and much satisfaction.\n\n\n\nSallie is an artist member of Cape Cod Art Association\, Yarmouth Art Guild\, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod\, Monday Painters and the Wednesday Group.  Her work is shown at Eastwind Gallery\, Orleans MA\, the Shop at the Cape Cod Museum of Art\, Dennis\, MA\, and the Cape Cod Art Center\, Barnstable\, MA.
