For many of us\, the feast begins with turkey\, though whether it was part of the first Thanksgiving remains a mystery.   Along with Wampanoag Native Americans\, they shared an autumn harvest feast that may have included wild animal foods collected from forest\, meadow\, and sea such as Atlantic Cod\, white tailed deer\, lobsters\, waterfowl\, heath hen\, and even bald eagles.\n\n \n\nThanksgiving is a treasured holiday\, and not just for the USA\, but around the world in many different guises.
