It is our pleasure to introduce you to the Captain Linnell House, a gracious and historic sea captain’s mansion. This neo-classic villa was built amid beautiful pastoral surroundings in 1840 by Captain Ebenezer Linnell as a wedding present for his bride, the beautiful Rebecca Crosby. The grounds, which include a gazebo, fountains, stately lawns, and historic 100 year old Chinese wisteria vine, wrap the building in a special aura of another era. The Captain Linnell House is located in Orleans, MA around the corner from Skaket Beach, a picturesque setting for a Cape Cod beach wedding ceremony.
As one of Cape Cod’s most distinguished fine dining restaurants, a chef owned restaurant and a favorite among Cape Cod’s wedding reception and rehearsal dinner venues, the Captain Linnell House offers expertly prepared classic fare – from appetizers of iced Wellfleet oysters on the half shell, to escargots and baby spinach salad, to entrees of rack of lamb, grilled salmon, roast duckling and Veal Milanese.
Enjoy wine from a large wine selection from our bar or relax in our comfortable lounge before you dine. All dining rooms are elegant with china and table linens with large windows looking over the perfectly manicured gardens.
A Prix Fixe Menu is offered from September to June. Enjoy three course dining of entrées such as Atlantic Swordfish (grilled, served over oven-roasted vegetables, and a touch of beuree blanc) or Breasted Duck (pan-seared with a sun-dried cherry demi-glace).
