Join us for a warm, fuzzy way to start 2024! The CHO (the Centers for Culture and History in Orleans) is hosting a special reading of Corduroy, the popular children’s story for ages five through eight. The event will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27th at the Meetinghouse, 3 River Road, Orleans.
Written by Don Freeman and first published more than 50 years ago, Corduroy tells the tale of a little stuffed bear who lives in a department store with other unwanted toys. Through a series of zany adventures, Corduroy eventually finds both his lost button and his forever home.
Each child will receive a hardcover copy of the book and participate in a fun activity, followed by refreshments. Space is limited to 15 children and a donation of $5 per family is suggested.
To make a reservation to join in on the fun, email admin@orleanshg.org or call 508-240-1329 by January 24.
