As part of the Gardening for Life Speaker Series, The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents A Native Cape Cod Garden: Discovering the Nature Connection with Kristin Andres on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 1:00pm.
The Gardening for Life Speaker Series honors the historic Shirley G. Cross Wildflower Garden at the Green Briar Nature Center.
Our landscapes and gardens play an important role in the health of the Cape’s environment. Our plant choices and land care practices make a difference. Learn about some choices you can make in your very own garden that will support pollinators, birds, and butterflies and that will also make your garden a beautiful, enjoyable space.
Kristin Andres is the associate director for education with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, the Cape’s leading science-based environmental advocacy group. APCC works to improve water quality and protect critical habitat. Kristin manages APCC’s educational programming and runs APCC.org and CapeCodWaters.org. She is the author of the Cape Cod Chronicle’s bi-weekly nature column “Use Your Voice,” and is a nature and native plant enthusiast.
