The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents
Animals in Winter Around the World with wildlife naturalist and educator Joy Marzolf Saturday, November 25, 2023 for two shows: 9:30am–10am & 11am-11:30am.
Each show is 30 minutes.
Winter is cold in New England, but not everywhere! Learn how animals survive freezing temperatures, floods, or other winter challenges in different parts of the world. Who is active and outside? Who is sleeping or hiding? Who is freezing? Find out what some of our local animals, and others around the world, do to survive their winter seasons. Joy will be bringing snakes, lizards, turtles, and a chameleon!
In June of 2020, Joy started her company, The Joys of Nature, Nature Travel, and Live Animal Programs. Previously, Joy was a naturalist and educator at Mass Audubon’s Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary for nearly 14 years. There she taught numerous programs for a wide range of ages on topics including butterflies and dragonflies, reptiles and amphibians, mammals, animal tracking, and photography. Also, she is currently Naturalist Study Leader for Road Scholar.
