The author Yvonne deSousa will be giving a talk about her latest book, "Shelter of the Monument: A Provincetown Love Story" in the library's Craine Room on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. The book is a heartfelt coming-of-age memoir that tells the story of first love, addiction, and finding your inner voice. Yvonne was born and raised on Cape Cod and has learned to use her writing and her humor as a healing outlet. Her previous book, "MS Madness! A ‘Giggle More, Cry Less’ Story of Multiple Sclerosis", details her experience with her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in a humorous light, and was well-reviewed. Now, she’s tackling the life lessons she learned growing up in Provincetown. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the talk. All are welcome.
