CELEBRATE OUR WATERS!
Saturday and Sunday, September 13 & 14
Please join the Orleans Pond Coalition (OPC) on September 13-14 for our third and final edition of Celebrate Our Waters, 2025.
In partnership with the town of Orleans, we are planning two full days of fun and informative activities. So come out and discover the natural wonder, senic beauty and recreational pleasure of Orleans’ priceless waterways.
This year we are including two new kayaking trips on Pleasant Bay and a presentation by Dr Alyssa Novak, a coastal ecologist at Boston University, on her research to enhance eelgrass resiliency in our estuaries.
Plus, many favorite outings from years past, including sailing on Pleasant Bay, hiking on Sipson Island and Pochet Island, beach yoga, bird watching, and much more are back. And don’t miss the ever-popular live concert and bonfire on Nauset Beach Saturday evening, kicking off with a beach clean-up at 4:30 pm, co-sponsored with Surfrider. This year’s concert begins at 5:30 pm with a DJ followed by a live performance at 6:30 from Mike Block’s Biriba Union Band. The evening concludes with the spectacular Paul Fulcher Memorial bonfire around 7pm.
