OPENING RECEPTION at Readymade Gallery: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (And Cape Cod)

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (and Cape Cod), the August show at Readymade Gallery, explores the natural world as interpreted by 10 artists in residence, delving into mainly abstracted realms.  Taking its cue from the 1943 novel by Betty Smith, the works reflect on the tenacity of the natural world and the indomitable human spirit.

The show will feature the work of Walter Brown, Jai Hart, Greg Jenkins, Benjamin King, Jon Lutz, Sasha Parks, Jen Shepard, and Becky Yazdan, and will be on view from August 2 to August 25.

There will be an opening reception on Saturday, August 3 from 6pm - 8:30, as well as a preview on Friday, August 2 for Orleans First Friday, also from 6pm - 8:30pm.
