Written by 24 authors coordinated through the Cape and Islands Historians Committee, the book explores local battles, privateering, divided loyalties, British shipwrecks that aided the Patriots, the contributions of African American and Native American soldiers, and ten influential figures from the region who helped shape this pivotal era.
