The Composers Puzzle with Michael Burritt, Percussionist, Composer, Professor

Michael Burritt will perform his own works and discuss the journey as a performer composer over the course of his 40-year career and reflect on how the evolution of percussion both informed and shaped his path. He will explore the reasons he writes music and the special symbiotic relationship between composing and performing and also share several of his works in performance. In addition the lecture will take a deeper dive into the process of writing a piece of music.
