As part of the Silver Science Speaker Series, The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents Cape Cod’s Year-Round Birds with Naturalist, Phil Kyle on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 1pm.
Survival in harsh winter conditions makes for incredible bird adaptations. Learn about birds’ winter survival techniques including foraging for available food, torpor, sleeping locations and insulating coverage. Winter bird-friendly plants facilitate survival through the harsh climate of winter.

Currently he volunteers at the Wellfleet Bay Audubon Sanctuary in the summers as a Naturalist/Educator and is a winter docent at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
