The Waste No Water Tour Visits Snow Library

The Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Technology Center (MASSTC) is coming to the Craine Room of Snow Library as part of their Waste No Water Library Tour, a Cape-wide library series to engage the public in over 10 Cape towns, focusing on the wastewater successes and challenges each town faces.

Speakers from MASSTC will kick off the conversation with a showing of the recent Scientific American documentary Yellow Tide, which features their efforts. After a short presentation on the current wastewater landscape, they'll focus on IA septic systems that remove nitrogen from waste, as well as urine-diverting and composting toilets. Toward the end, there will be an open Q&A with attendees to ask any and all wastewater questions. Anyone who is interested in the topic of wastewater and wants to be part of positive change on the Cape is encouraged to attend and learn more about how individual efforts fit into the Cape and Islands’ ongoing wastewater puzzle.
