Restaurant Servers – Job Description

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and professional manner
- Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service
- Process payments accurately and handle cash/credit transactions
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred (but not always required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic math skills for handling payments and tips
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to carry trays, plates, and items up to 25–30 lbs
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
