Artful Journeys LLC

Joan was raised in the Hudson River Valley in New York; her father was a gentle land surveyor, her mother was an efficient business administrator. The youngest of 4 children, Joan was encouraged to follow her passion. Her Bachelor’s of Arts in German Literature afforded Joan a reason to travel often.  An eclectic career includes leatherwork, medical research and small business administration. Currently, she has a bookkeeping business for architects and other small professional firms.  Music is  important to Joan, who studied  the piano; she encouraged her son on the viola, and he now plays many stringed instruments.  She supports classical chamber and orchestral groups.  Joan enjoys collecting art and did some pottery work with Gail Turner.  Joan developed a deep love of Italy, its culture, language, people and culinary aspects.  This passion developed into Artful Journeys.
